Mets Notes: Some positive news on the injury front as superstar CF Carlos Beltran stated that he hopes to return in 2/2.5 weeks and does not care about pain, stating “ Being pain-free is unrealistic right now. Being able to come back 100 percent is not going to happen. … Eighty, 85 percent, I’ll take that. I feel I can manage myself like that. That is fine with me.” Beltran has been taking batting practice, riding a bike and working in the pool as well. No further update on SS Jose Reyes, who GM Omar Minaya stated was about 10 to 14 days away last week. 1B Carlos Delgado was seen working with rookie 1B Daniel Murphy at the ball park yesterday and appeared to be moving well and in good spirits.
