Expos 9, Mets 7 (92-46)
The Expos handed the Mets their second straight loss as their pitchers once again got tagged. Rick Aguilera gave up four runs on eleven hits before coming out of the game. The usually reliable pair of Roger McDowell and Jesse Orosco combined to give up five runs on eight hits in two innings of work. Orosco took the loss and dropped to 6-6.
Darryll Strawberry hit his 21st homerun of the season and Rafael Santana and Lenny Dykstra both drove in two runs. Danny Heep scored twice and tripled.
