Mets Top Eleven Prospects

by @ 9:51 am. Filed under 2012 Mets

Kevin Goldstein published his list of the Mets top eleven prospects and you have to be happy about the five and four star guys.  Topping the list is Matt Harvey, the Mets top pick in 2010.  He was great at High-A before struggling a bit at Double-A but he has a good chance of being a front of the rotation starter.  I also like the fact that we should see him in a Mets uniform this year.

Number two and the other five star guy is Zack Wheeler.  The Mets top pick in 2009, Wheeler dominated at High-A and he’ll get to test his mettle at Double-A this year.  This was the cornerstone of the trade for Carlos Beltran and you hope this guy pans out in a big way.

Number three and the lone four star guy is Jeurys Familia.  The right hander split time at High-A and Double-A and he got it done at both levels.  This is another guy we could see with the Mets in 2012.  Brandon Nimmo (OF) and Juan Lagares (OF) round out the top ten.
