Talk about some shuffling, although it seems like the International League has a bunch of changes in the works. The Mets announced that they’ll be moving their Triple A affiliate from Norfolk to New Orleans beginning in 2007. So the Mets Triple A affiliate will now be in the Pacific Coast League. It looks likely that the Tides will be a Baltimore Orioles affiliate next year. The Norfolk Tides have been a Mets affiliate since 1969.
The Mets also lost a Single A affiliate. The Hagerstown Suns announced they’d be jumping and becoming a Washington Nationals affiliate so now the Mets have to look for their replacement.
