I was at the game, and I couldn’t understand why Willie did not put in Looper in the eighth after the Yankees got first and second. It’s a must-win game, so put your best guy in there. Also, once they pulled off the double steal, an intentional walk would have been the better move. Bottom line: The Mets will have a hard time winning when the other teams exploit Piazza’s arm.
