Braves 7, Mets 2 (13-4)
The Mets eleven game winning streak came to an end as starter Rick Aguilera took a beating. He lasted only 3 1/3 innings and gave up six runs on seven hits, four of which were homeruns. Oddly, he struck out five batters.
Zane Smith was phenomenal for the Braves as he went the distance and struck out twelve Mets, holding them to five hits. Keith Hernandez and Ray Knight both had RBI doubles to account for the Mets two runs.
