Mets 8, Phillies 4 (38-16)
The Mets got back on track with a huge eleven inning win over the Phillies. After being up 3-2, Bob Ojeda gave up the trying run in the seventh and the go ahead run in the eighth before getting pulled. The Mets answered in the bottom of the eighth on a solo shot by Gary Carter to tie the game up.
Neither team scored in the ninth and tenth inning and Roger McDowell mowed down the Phillies in the top of the eleventh. Then in the bottom of the eleventh, the Mets loaded up the bases before Tim Teufel hit a huge game winning walk off grand slam to finish the game.
