From Tom Seaver to Dwight Gooden to Carlos Beltran, A look at the New York Mets past, present and future.

The Mets/Cardinals were rained out last night so the two teams will square off in game one of the NLCS tonight. Fortunately the rain out doesn’t add any extra days off for either team because that would allow the Cards to push Chris Carpenter forward in the current rotation. You’d like to see him as late as you possibly can.
I do like our chances in this series though. Once you get past Albert Pujols, this lineup isn’t all that great. Scot Rolen, Chris Duncan and Jim Edmonds can hurt you, but not with any great consistency. I’m going to say Mets in Five.
