Giants 10, Mets 2 (25-10)
The Mets lost an ugly, ugly game. Dwight Gooden had his worst start of the season by yielding seven runs on nine hits in only four innings of work. The pen didn’t fare a whole lot better as both Rick Aguilera and Doug Sisk both gave up runs in the blowout loss.
Giants starter Mike Krukow held the Giants to only two hits, but one of them was a two run homerun by Keith Hernandez.
