I think Barry Zito will easily win 300 games with the Mets. He has the best curveball since Sandy Koufax and he is a certain hall of famer

Living in CA, I only get to hear, read or see the Mets when they're on TV. I've been a true fan since 1963--senior year of college.
I didn't know about 40th year celebration. So sorry I didn't get to vote. But so glad Tug McGraw was able to attend. I would have voted for the 1969 Mets as my favorite moment or Mets team. Maybe a lot of those people died, and more people became fans since, but the 1969 club was WAY MORE special than the 1986. Come on! Gil Hodges!!! And I can not start naming players. And, I even think 1973 Series beats the 1986. Don't get me wrong, I loved them all--even the 2006 until the last pitch in the NL playoffs series.
My personal favorite was sitting behind the Mets dugout during a July game at Shea in 1988 and getting Harrelson's autograph. I love the Mets!!!
I just hope they keep Pedro. He's like a Tug McGraw in clubhouse spirit. Annie

Not since 1977 and the Tom Seaver trade have I been this upset.
Trading Jacobs and Petit was insanity. Jacobs will be rookie of the year
and Petit will win for the marlins.Delgado is here due to no choice and
48 million dollars.34 years old and a sub-par first baseman. This move
will haunt the mets forever. The third worst trade in mets history.
