The Mets four game winning streak came to crashing halt as Bob Ojeda was pummelled by the Expos. He gave up six runs on ten hits in 6 2/3 innings of work. Rick Anderson didn’t fare too much better in 1 1/3 innings of relief. He gave up three runs on six hits.
Darryl Strawberry accounted for the lone Mets run by hitting a solo shot in the bottom of the ninth. The Mets only managed five hits, all by different players.
