For the first time in almost a month, the Mets lost back to back games. Bob Ojeda lost his first game of the season and ave up four runs (two earned) on seven hits and three walks, and reliever Terry Leach was also hit hard.
The Mets scattered two runs on five hits. Gary Carter had a solo homer in the seventh and Kevin Mitchell drove home Rafael Santana with a double to account for the Mets’ two runs.
